The biggest risk: no agreement in advance

The most common cause of payment disputes is not bad intent but missing prior agreement. When price, scope, and timing are unclear, different expectations arise.

Clear recommendation: always confirm in chat what you're doing, how long it takes, and what you will receive. This takes one minute and prevents most problems.

Clarify payment timing

Some clients pay immediately after completion, others days later. Ask before starting when and how payment will happen.

Cash or digital are both acceptable. Digital payments (PayPal, bank transfer, Revolut) have the advantage of leaving a record.

What to do if payment doesn't arrive

Don't wait too long. A friendly message the day after completion is professional and appropriate. Most cases resolve at this stage.

If no response comes: document your work (photos, chat log, timestamps) and contact platform support with all evidence.
